Winter Sky

This piece was created using curved piecing and closely spaced quilting with metallic thread. The snowflake is cut from Lutrador painted with white gesso and affixed to the piece with beads.

As I think about our new theme, I keep remembering this Scrabble game we played over the Christmas holiday.

hi ladies!

I'm pleased to finally share with you my interpretation of the word SKY

I was happy to use many scraps of fabric - amazing how many shades of blue there are!

Lots of handstiching with perl cotton and some fabric paint was used as well.

Oh! and I actually hand dyed most of the border fabric! Fun! Fun! Fun!

May this inspire you to find the many moods and colors of the sky!
